Doug Harwood, 64, founder and publisher of the Rockbridge Advocate walks down Washington Street in downtown Lexington after leaving his office to hand-deliver some of his newspapers hot off the press on March 2nd. He's a well-known character in town who likes the socialization and contacts he makes delivering the newspapers himself.

Gene Herric, is a retired Associated Press photographer who lives in Rocky Mount. He worked for the AP for nearly 30 years, and is known best for his photography from the Korean War and the civil rights movement. He covered the murder trial of Emmett Till and photographed Rosa Parks when she was arrested for refusing to move to the back of the bus. He is 91, and will be inducted to the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame this year. Stephanie Klein-

Jack Ferguson, a 97-year-old World War II aviator arrived at Hanger 20 on Saturday morning, in the general aviation area for private pilots, near the Roanoke Airport for a flight in honor of the anniversary of his discharge from the Army on March 16, 1946. Paul Walker, 15 1/2, who has a form of autism and as a baby was shaken by a babysitter and left with brain damage, is the biological son of Diane Walker, a single mother. Paul blows dandelion seed heads in the front yard of his southeast Roanoke home in Virginia. He's home-schooled with three other mentally-disabled adopted siblings. "Dandelion Boy"
